Baywatch was one of the most iconic shows on television. Here's what the cast are up to now.

Boobwatch, oops we mean, Baywatch, a TV show that defined a generation from 1989 until 1999. Since then it has also spawned a ton of spinoffs and films, too. Precisely everyone watched it, and strangely, it was a series that brought families together on a Saturday night.

The show was so successful that it launched the careers of stars like Pamela Anderson and David Charvet, and lead to the downfall of show favourites Yasmine Bleeth and Jeremy Jackson.

Oh, and although he needs no introduction, we can’t forget to mention actor and Jump in My Car cover singer, David Hasselhoff. What a man.

So in case you were wondering, and we know you are, here's exactly what the stars are up to now.

David Hasselhoff: Mitch Buchannon

As Mitch Buchannon, David Hasselhoff ruled the Santa Monica strip. From pulling damsels off blazing yachts, in the middle of the ocean, to solving crimes on the mainland, Mitch went above and beyond as Baywatch’s fearless, womanising leader.

Post-show, The Hoff has continued to capitalise on his Baywatch fame by parodying himself in films like The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, Dodge Ball: A True Underdog Story, and Killing Hasselhoff. The Hoff has also released 15 studio albums, appeared as a contestant on Dancing With the Stars, and for a time played judge on America’s Got Talent.

Decades on, David’s still incredibly humble about Baywatch’s success, and its continued success on streaming services. “Without me, Baywatch would have been cancelled. We never thought we would last more than a couple of years but we lasted 245 episodes,” the 71-year-old told GQ.

When he’s not scoring cameo rolls on low-budget films, The Hoff is touring the world with his Party Your Hassel Hoff show where he sings some of his most famous – yet forgettable – tunes and even dons the iconic Baywatch windbreaker.

Unfortunately, the very loveable Hasselhoff has had to cancel shows recently in Germany, Austria and Switzerland due to poor health, we're hoping he makes a swift recovery and is back to business in no time.

Pamela Anderson: CJ Parker

When we think of Baywatch, it’s Pamela Anderson in that red swimsuit that comes to mind.

Although The Hoff, in his humble opinion, often tries to claim he's the real reason the show was so successful, we respectfully disagree. There was one reason fans were obsessed with the show, and sadly it’s got nothing to do with him in his bathers, and everything to do with Pammy and the rest of the female cohort.

Following her success on the show, Pamela had no trouble scoring parts and modelling gigs after leaving the series in 1997. She then went on to become a legendary figure of Playboy and had a 22-year career on its pages. Pamela also appeared in films like Scooby-Doo, Scary Movie 3, Borat and the Baywatch reboot starring Zac Eron and The Rock in 2017.

In 2022, she and her ex-husband Tommy Lee were also the subject of an eight-part miniseries Pam & Tommy, which centred around the theft of her sex tape and the aftermath – a series she has condemned.

"I blocked that out of my life — I had to, in order to survive," she said in her documentary titled Pamela, A Love Story, after learning about the unauthorised miniseries. "It was a survival mechanism, and now that's all coming up again, I feel sick. My whole stomach feels right now like it's been punched. I don't feel good right now."

In 2022 she also released her memoir, Love, Pamela, and took her talents to Broadway as Roxie Hart in Chicago, and is a political activist, an AIDS, anti-pornography and animal rights activist and whale conservationist.

Pamela knows a thing or two about love, which she says she's learned from her five marriages.

Tommy Lee, Kid Rock, Rick Salomon, Jon Peters and Dan Hayhurst have all been Pamela's husband at some point. But, it's only with Tommy Lee that she shares children, they have two sons Brandon and Dylan.

Alexandra Paul: Stephanie Holden

After hanging up her red cossie, Alexandra Paul went on to have a huge career in the midday movie scene.

She also has a number of executive producer credits to her name in the documentary world. Similar to Pammy, Alexandra is an environmental, animal and gay rights activist, she shares her passions on her Switch 4 Good podcast, where she sometimes finds she gets herself into a bit of a pickle.

In March of this year, Alexandra stood trial for taking two chickens from a truck carrying livestock in California. She and her accomplice, Alicia Santurio were found not guilty, despite the women having shared video footage of the act online.

“We’re rescuing sick chickens from a factory farm that has a history of abusing them,” she said in the clip. “When I think about the consequences for me, they are minimal compared to what the animals are going through.”

David Chokachi: Cody Madison

Who didn’t love David Chokachi. Again, The Hoff, though handsome, didn’t have anything on his co-stars. Case in point, David Chokachi, who played CJ Parker’s boyfriend Cody Madison.

In a chat with The Unseasonal, he said he feels physically, mentally, and spiritually stronger today than he has his whole life. “I feel like it took me almost 50 years to feel whole,” he admitted.

“To feel really good and clear about who I am as a human being; as a father, as a husband, as a son, and as a brother. It seems it took all those years of experience to end up where I am now. I am at peace."

The family man still acts today, but not in anything you’d likely recall, or even see advertised. And given the divorce rates of his fellow Baywatch colleagues, it’s rather remarkable that the 55-year-old and his wife Susan Brubaker, a Gucci executive, will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary next year. The pair share a daughter, Madison Brit, who they love dearly.

Yasmine Bleeth: Caroline Holden

Yasmine Bleeth was one of the most recognisable stars of the nineties – but her star fell hard in 1997 when she lost her job on the series and checked herself into a voluntary drug addiction treatment facility.

Things then went from bad to worse in 2001 when she and her husband Paul Cerrito – whom she met whilst in treatment – were arrested by Detroit police after she was found driving erratically while 'under the influence of cocaine' and in possession of drugs.

After Baywatch, she appeared in shows like Nash Bridges and Titans, but it’s been more than a decade since the 55-year-old has worked in television

David Charvet: Matt Brody

Okay, we don't know anymore, is David Charvet our number-one Baywatch babe?

As Matt Brody, he was another of CJ Parker’s on-screen lovers, however; he quit the show in 1995, making way for Cody Madison to sweep her off her feet.

The 51-year-old has had a lot of success since the series that launched his career, with Melrose Place being the most memorable. Then in 1999, he quit that, too, he wanted to focus on a music career – which didn’t exactly take off outside France, the country where he was born.

In the mid-noughties, he was back in the TV and film scene, appearing in horror movies like Prisoners of the Sun, as well as the comedy-drama Green Flash.

Then in 2011, he married actress and model Brooke Burke, and the pair were together for almost a decade before they were divorced in 2020.

These days the actor has taken a step back from acting and works as a construction project manager.

Jeremy Jackson: Hobie Buchannon

Mitch Buchannon’s son Hobie was considered a cutie as a child, but when he grew up he also became a heartthrob lifeguard himself. Unfortunately, that’s where it begins and ends for Jeremy Jackson.

Since his stint on Baywatch, he has released two albums and appeared on reality TV before sadly finding himself in trouble with the law. Jeremy ended up in jail, where he served four-and-a-half months in prison for allegedly stabbing a man first, and then a woman, too, later that year.

After his release, he turned to reality TV for income, within days of appearing on Celebrity Big Brother house, he was removed for allegedly sexually harassing Chloe Goodman, a female housemate.

Jeremy, says he is working to become a better version of himself and is now working as a personal trainer.
